The border wasnt too bad (even without my real drivers license). Paperwork, Passport, Permit and off I went.
I was really tired and kept falling asleep while driving so I stopped along the road and rested underneath a mango tree. Woke up, ate 5 mini mangoes and kept going.
It took around 7 hours of driving and stopping to get here. Time to rest…
I’m getting a little homesick thinking about the stressfulness of having to drive back North…
Traveling for the last 2 1/2 months through Central America has been quite an adventure.
I’ve done plenty of writing and some piano playing but its easy to get distracted in making friends, having beautiful travel experiences, and relaxing. Time is flying by…
Maybe I’ve been having too much fun?
I want to get down to work and start learning some new repertoire: To rejuvenate my piano playing and begin exploring live stage performance.
I’d like to start heading back to find a home base and get to work. I know what I need to do now.
I’m doing well and have had some great moments connecting with the other travelers I’ve met from all over the world.
I’ve been spending about $12 a day and not driving anywhere. I’m hoping playing piano tomorrow in Granada will bring in some cash.
This is something I´ve been through before in Seattle, WA although the only difference is I´m in a foreign country with different people and currency.
I´m going to play piano this weekend and see how much money I can make on the streets of Granada Nicaragua.
Its a tourist town that most likely gets a good bit of pedestrian traffic…
I need to wait a week or two before all my bank cards come in.
What really sucks is they took my drivers license…

They took everything including the passport, drivers license, credit cards, hard drives, cell phone, laptop… But they left me the piano.
My buddy from California only has his clothes and a surfboard. Not a dollar of cash…
I have $100 and at the US embassy getting a new passport. Staying positive. This has certainly been the most challenging trip ever.
