Thank you all so much for helping me fund my Kickstarter project! We are headed to Panama, but this time we are going to be filming it all. I'm very excited to see what happens!

I hope you got a chance to see this awesome Village Voice interview.
I love the title.

I’m looking for Musicians to Jam with on the journey from NYC to Austin. Anyone want to meet up in February?

If you’re interested in jamming, meeting up, or even talking about Why music is so important to you, let me know.

ASK HERE.

This is a free improvisation made with Seth Bailin on Soprano Sax and Dotan Negrin on Piano, Live in Union Square, NYC on November 4, 2012.

I met Seth through a friend and we met one day to play on the streets together and see what we can come up with. This was 5 days after Hurricane Sandy shook up New York City. Downtown Manhattan was still out of power. We never played together before this day.

What do you think?

From the Archives:

September 2010…. One of the greatest moments of my entire life that I captured on video. I was just playing piano on Broadway on a Sunny Weekday and this British guy without a shirt comes up to me and asked me a few questions. He pulls out a pandiero and we jammed. Then suddenly this man jumps up, I set up the camera, and he starts rapping.

I never met these guys before this moment, and everything we were doing was totally improvised. But it worked and it worked out so well. Its an open energy that you feel when you are in the groove with other musicians. (A week later, my piano fell on my hand)

Here is a video of me Street Performing with 2 random strangers I had just met 10 minutes before. It’s amazing how well we clicked and surprisingly everything came out pretty good. Everything you see in this video was improvised.

MUST. JAM. WITH. THIS. MAN. ONE. DAY.
